Space Oddity

Tribute to David Bowie

Since my childhood I have been fascinated by the universe and the conquest of space.

Since I was a teenager, I've been a passionate fan of David Bowie's work. His death in 2016 had a profound impact on me.

Here is a sample of images inspired by space exploration and Bowie's work.

Ham Astrochimp

Ham, a brave chimpanzee astronaut, was sent into space by the United States Air Force in 1961. His mission was to prepare for the first flight of a human astronaut. Upon his return to Earth, while still in his capsule, he was given an apple as a reward, which he grabbed with a big smile. Ham lived out his life as a retired astronaut at the National Zoological Park in Washington.

Life On Mars!

I've always been convinced that the planet Mars is populated by little pink men. That's why it's all smiles.
